Two Women Across The Continents: Atwood & Das

Alima Mudasir hailing from Srinagar (J&K) works as Associate Professor at Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road. She has done her graduation from the same college where she is working presently. She has done her post-graduation from University of Kashmir, Hazratbal in English. She has finished her M.Phil from the University of Kashmir and her dissertation is on A Comparative Study of Feminist Concerns in The Selected Works Of Margaret Atwood and Kamala Das. She got appointed in the Higher Education Deptt. J&K in the year 2007 and since then there has been no looking back. She has a teaching experience of almost twenty years to her credit wherein she has taught at the various colleges of the valley. She has also worked as the Counsellor in I.G.N.O.U. She has also worked as a guest faculty at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. She has been teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She has attended a large number of seminars and conferences. She has presented papers in many national and international seminars and conferences. She has also attended a couple of regional and national workshops. She has delivered several invited lectures on various topics close to her heart at various colleges of the valley.
